In the world of business, everything is about profits. Therefore, color plays an important role in this world. The color painted in a store, for example, will manipulate the ambience of the place. The color will also attract a certain populace. If the business has a logo, the color of it was specifically chosen to reach out more people from certain locations. For example, the Whole Foods Market store has a different vibe because of the colors it uses. Its targeted population are people who earn a "respectable" income. Sadly, you will never see a Whole Food Market store, logo and colors in low-income communities. This manipulation of the minds of the people is done by graphic designers and artist. They influence use to make decisions with us out being aware. That is why you will never see a Whole Foods Market logo and colors in neighborhoods where minorities reside.
Since I want to be a freelance graphic designer, I will choose color according to the type of population I am targeting. This means that I will have to do my research on colors. In school, I will use color that I think will have a positive impact on the teacher.
